Modern hallway with a touch of elegance
The Project:
Following on from the renovation of her kitchen, Lauren from Leeds decided she wanted to completely revamp her hallway so that it followed the same theme. High on her priority list was getting rid of the old-fashioned carpet and replacing it with some elegant floor tiles. She originally wanted polished tiles but, in the end, chose to go for Fistral Clay as its lappato finish helps it to withstand footsteps without the potential to cause any damage. She re-plastered the walls and painted it white in order to complete the look as well as adding some subtle accessories.
The Result:
Lauren said “Yet again I am so pleased with how my hallway has turned out! The transformation is pretty remarkable considering how gloomy and grungy it looked before. It always felt like it was dark in the hallway but now due to the immaculate white theme it feels a lot brighter as well as allowing for more natural light shining through. My hallway is the first thing my guests see when they come to visit and I get so many compliments from it! I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome.”
