The Project:
When Lauren bought her new Saltaire home it was completely run down, giving her the mammoth task of renovating the property into a new and modern living space. With regards to her kitchen, she didn’t like the ‘country house’ look with all the open bricks, it had become a bit dated and industrial. She wanted a kitchen that was homely and welcoming as well as giving off a rustic and clean look. Lauren decided upon tiling the floor with Classic Kremna Honed & Filled Travertine as this gave her the natural look she wanted to achieve.
The Result:
Lauren said “I’m thrilled with the outcome of my new kitchen! It’s surpassed all of my expectations. I was worried about taking on such a large project, but I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. I could see the renovation potential in the property before I bought it and I think the contrast between the before and after pictures is stark, it looks like a completely different home now! In the end I decided to tile the floor with natural stone rather than porcelain because of its unrefined qualities and natural feel. The beige colour really complements the colourways used in the rest of the room and contributes to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere.”
